FAQs

If you have other questions not listed here, please feel free to reach out to either one of us. We will do our best to respond accordingly, given the time difference between us and our guests (FYSA, we live in Hawaii!).
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by 16 September 2021.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are registered at Zola, but also have a few items on our Zola registry that are linked to separate stores (e.g., Macys). There's also the option, if you prefer, to give cash as a gift either through Zola or bring to the wedding (we will have a card basket of sorts).

Question

Do I need to wear a mask at the wedding/reception?

Answer

We will not require guests to wear masks; however, if you feel more comfortable doing so you may wear a mask. The venue will also be providing masks to anyone who would like one and will have hand sanitizer out throughout the venue. We also do request that you respect others' space, especially those who are not vaccinated.

Question

If I'm buying a registry gift, should I bring it to the wedding?

Answer

We are thankful for anyone who chooses to purchase a gift for us from our registry. We ask that you have any gift be mailed to our address in Hawaii, given we won't be able to take it on the flight back home. There will be a card box and gift table in the dining hall.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at the ceremony no later than 4:55pm. The ceremony starts at 5:00pm.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, formal attire please. Full-length dresses for women and tie and jackets for men. Be mindful that it may be chilly the day of the wedding since the ceremony will be outside near the lake.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we love children and their smiling faces, we've decided we will not be including them at the ceremony and reception. If you have any questions, please let us know.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes. Please see the travel section of our wedding website. The two main hotels near the venue are the Holiday Inn and Hilton Garden Inn (both located in Auburn, NY). There is also the option to book a place through Airbnb.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

If you have a food allergy, please let Hannah or Aaron know and we will work with the venue to make sure everything is taken care of.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is parking available at Emerson Park Pavilion.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes. We've reserved bus transportation back and forth from the both hotels to the venue. The transportation schedule will include two round trips between the hotels and venue. The schedule will be as followed: Depart the Holiday Inn - 3:50pm Depart the Hilton Garden Inn - 4:00pm Arrive at Emerson Park Pavilion at 4:15pm Depart the Holiday Inn - 4:30pm Depart the Hilton Garden Inn - 4:40pm Arrive at Emerson Park Pavilion - 4:55pm There will also be three opportunities to take the bus shuttle from the venue back to the hotels. Those three departure times from the venue include: 9:00pm 9:45pm 10:30pm

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

While neither of us is a meteorologist, the average temperature in Auburn, NY during October is around 60 degrees Fahrenheit. We are hopeful it'll be a beautiful day! Sadly, Hannah and Aaron can't bring the Hawaii weather with them :)

Question

Can I take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Answer

Yes! However, we paid for an amazing photographer and videographer to also capture our wedding day so we please ask you to not take photos or videos DURING the ceremony itself.

For all the days along the way
