FAQs

Question

What should I know before coming to Colorado?

Answer

If you do not live here, one big thing to take note of is the altitude of the wedding. Golden is at 5,600 feet so please be sure to take care of yourself - sit down when you need to, know your drink limits are lower here before you begin to feel the effect, apply that sunscreen early, and be sure to drink A LOT of water! Also of note, Colorado weather can change rapidly throughout the day so be sure to bring something warm for the chillier nights and mornings - the key to Colorado is layers of clothing.

Question

What time do I need to be at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at 3:10 pm or earlier - we CANNOT have the ceremony later than scheduled. Thank you!

Question

How should I get to the venue for the ceremony/reception?

Answer

We will be providing a shuttle at certain times/locations for pickup - this will bring you up to the venue and back down at the end of the reception. You are also welcome to drive (there are plenty of parking spots onsite) and there may be some available rideshare services in the area (but don't count on this).

Question

What will the food situation be at the wedding reception?

Answer

There will be passed hors d'oeuvres during the cocktail hour and a buffet for dinner with options for everyone!

Question

Can I bring my own alcohol/food to any of the events?

Answer

That's a no, please don't bring any outside food or alcohol to any of these events - the venues have very strict policies!

Question

What will the weather/temperature be like during the wedding weekend?

Answer

While Colorado can be unpredictable in its weather (do check before you fly/drive out), be prepared for a warm ceremony (70s-80s) and a fully indoor reception.
