Sarah is my awesome, wonderful, amazing big sister! I'm blessed to have known her my entire life! She also lives in Charleston, SC, with her husband, JD, and two girls, Annabelle (7) and Adeline (15 months). She has been teaching high school for 21 years. I am beyond excited to have her as my matron of honor! And it's true, there were never such devoted sisters!
Brittany Whitaker

Brittany and I met when I was 20, and she was 19 at Liberty University! We immediately became best friends for life, and I am thrilled to have her as a bridesmaid. She lives in Birmingham, Alabama, with her husband Ben and their two awesome boys, Sawyer (10) and Grady (7). She has been a consistent friend all these years, and I can always rely on her to get my Gilmore Girls references!
Amy Evans
Bridesmaid
Amy and I met 10 years ago when her family moved to Slovenia. We got to serve on the same team for a year before they moved to the Czech Republic. Then her husband, Kyle, recruited me to join the Communications team. They have three boys, ages 15, 13, and 9, and they recently moved from the Seattle area to a small mountain town in northern Idaho called Sandpoint. I am so thankful that Amy and I have been able to stay in touch through all the moves and various seasons of life.

Krista was an answer to prayer after moving from Germany to Arizona in 2001! Yes, we were high school besties! An unlikely pair of theater girl and varsity cheerleader, we had our faith in common and met because of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Krista and her husband Brian live in Scottsdale, Arizona, with their two youngest girls, Ryleigh (15) and Kyla (11). Their oldest daughter, Valya, recently got married and lives in South Dakota. I am so thankful for our years of friendship!
Amanda Snyder

Amanda and I met in Slovenia in 2012! It was my first summer as a full-time missionary with Josiah Venture, and Amanda was serving on a short-term team. We hit it off immediately! I thought she was so cool and just wanted to be her friend! We’ve lived through all the ups and downs together, navigating life as single missionaries, all the while singing Broadway musicals whenever we got the chance!
Catie Edwards

Catie is Josh’s sister! She also lives in the Charleston area with her husband, Nathaniel (the best man)! We instantly connected over our love for Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter! Obviously, we met because of Josh, and I am so excited to call her sister. I'm thankful she is another local bridesmaid, along with my sister, to do all the fun local wedding things with!
Nathaniel Edwards
Best Man
Nathaniel, Josh's brother in law, married Josh's sister Catie early 2025. His addition to the family has been a treat to experience! He consistently offers a calm and measured approach to life, and his love for Jesus is evident through his kindness and gentleness. Now living in Moncks Corner, his and Catie's adventure together through life is just getting started!
Ben Turner

Growing up with a younger Josh wasn't always easy, but it was usually eventful! Ben got a front row seat to the shared childhood in the Turner household as his brother. Ben, his spouse Jen, and their daughter Amelia currently live in Tennessee. They both have a heart for serving and mentoring the younger members of their community and church.
Ryan McNamee

Hailing from Minnesota, Ryan and Josh met through a veteran's non-profit event. Parallels in life have brought them closer together over the years, and their shared service in the U.S. Army is one they both treasure. Ryan is currently the house manager for Bravo Zulu House, a first of its kind veteran's sober living home in Minnesota that helps address substance abuse and PTSD for military veterans.
Nathan White
Groomsman
From finger painting in the church nursery, to sleepovers and after church games of catch, Nathan and Josh go back a long ways. They've known each other since they were a year and a half old! It has truly been wonderful to be part of such a long lasting friendship. Nathan now lives in Ravenel with his wife, Jess, and their four children! Fun fact: Nathan's dad, Jack, taught at a Christian school in the area, and was Gwynne's favorite teacher in the fourth grade!
JD Stallings

JD is Gwynne's brother in law, and the matron of honor's husband! JD and Josh share a love of the outdoors, Jesus, and the Gardner family (and homemade baked goods). He is the father of flower girls Annabelle and Adeline, and is the tech theater director at the College of Charleston.
Urh Kolar
Groomsman
Urh is from Slovenia and has known Gwynne since he was 17! He was a part of the Fusion ministry that Gwynne helped lead for many years and later she and Urh formed the Communications Team for JV's national organization in Slovenia. Urh is married to Doroteja and they have two girls Iva and Mila. Urh is standing in for Gwynne's brother as he has been like a brother to her!
