Question

What should we expect Covid-wise?

Answer

Obviously it's difficult to predict what the state of the pandemic will be by November. Currently we expect all of our guests to be vaccinated and boosted. If you have a unique situation preventing this, please reach out to us and let us know. That being said, our wedding and reception are both outdoors.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

This is tricky. It will likely be 70-80 during the ceremony, but later in the evening it can cool quite a bit (40-60). The ceremony and reception are outside so plan accordingly. It also appears that it may rain. If it's a light rain, we will likely still hold the ceremony (and possibly cocktail hour and dinner) outside. In the case of heavy rain, everything will be in a barn. So make sure you pack a warm outer layer and something rain resistant if you don't want to get wet.

Dress code?

Answer

Dress code is up to you! We suggest semi-formal (for men, a suit is fine, tie optional), but wear whatever makes you feel comfortable! Please keep in mind that this is a ranch and the ground is rough and gravel in many areas, so we recommend you keep that in mind when it comes to choice of shoes (ie. block heels, not stilettos). Also keep in mind that it can dip quite cold in the evening, so be sure to bring a warm outer layer.

Hotels

Answer

We have a room block setup at the Holiday Inn Lake Location under the discount code BGW. Rooms are blocked for Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We are planning to extend the block as more rooms fill up. If you try to book and can't find anything, please text Sam at 631 835 5493. Note that we have had issues with the hotel saying there are no rooms available in the block when this is not the case. If you are worried, you can try booking outside the block at the hotel and then texting me and I can try adding you to the block. We recommend you try to stay here or in a nearby hotel since it's within walking distance of the bar crawl. Please try to book as soon as you can, preferably before Oct 1st

Gifts?

Answer

Buying us a gift is 100% unnecessary. Originally we were not going to even have a registry but several people demanded it so we made one. We know that flights and hotels are expensive and we are just happy to be able to celebrate with you. This is not one of those things where we say no gifts, but we mean gifts. Really, no gift necessary.
