The first time Amanda saw Jesse was at a New Year’s Eve party. She told her older brother she thought he was cute, only to find out Jesse was dating someone else at the time! Fast forward a few years, and fate gave them another shot when they reconnected through mutual friends. Their early dates were anything but smooth. On the first date, Amanda spilled an entire pint of beer on herself. On the second date , Jesse’s card got declined, not once but twice, and the waitress discreetly slipped him a note asking him to come inside so she wouldn’t embarrass him in front of his date. From there, things could only go up, and they did! Jesse introduced Amanda to his love of dive bars and cats; Amanda introduced Jesse to her love of travel and good wine. Together they’ve built a home with their two cats, Mew and Goblin. In June 2025, Jesse proposed on what might’ve been the rainiest day of the year. When the skies finally cleared, they spent the afternoon visiting their favorite neighborhood spots before ending in their local park where Amanda spotted a picnic set up with flowers and said, “Who would choose today to have a picnic?” Moments later, she realized exactly who would. It was the surprise of a lifetime and the perfect start to this next chapter. Amanda and Jesse can’t wait to celebrate with all of you by their sides!
