Peter and Erin first met at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he studied nuclear engineering and mathematics, and she studied English and psychology. It was unlikely their paths would cross in class, but one fateful night, the university's Math Club and English Club put on a joint social event. After Erin overheard Peter talking about the hit anime Evangelion, she knew she wanted to be his friend. Acquaintances at first, their friendship grew over time. Eventually, Erin dropped a pretty big hint that she liked him by willingly coming over on a Wednesday night to help Peter build an Ikea desk. He asked her to be his girlfriend that very night, and the rest is history. Both nerds in their own right, Peter and Erin now spend their days in Ann Arbor, where Peter is working towards his PhD in Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences at the University of Michigan. In their free time, they love to play with their rambunctious cat Winnie, hit the gym, play video games together (pro-tip: don't challenge Peter to Mario Kart OR Party), and watch critically-acclaimed television shows (they may love Succession but don't worry, they're not the next Tom and Shiv). The two are thrilled to share their special day with you!
