The YMCA is a full-service summer camp with hotel-style lodge rooms and individual cabins. We have a block of lodge rooms for $185 per night for Friday and Saturday. This includes a group discount, family-friendly activities and 2 breakfast tickets per night booked. Lodge rooms are not pet friendly. Shuttle

Estes Park Shuttle

If you choose not to get a rental car: The distance from DIA to Estes Park is about 80 miles. The 20 miles closest to Estes Park is a mountain climb of almost 3,000 feet. There is a wonderful shuttle service called Estes Park Shuttle. It will pick you up from the airport and drop you off right at the YMCA where you can check into your room, and then back to your terminal at the airport. Pricing is $95 round trip per person, and $55 one way per person. Flight

Denver International Airport

There is not an airport in Estes Park, so the best place for incoming and outgoing flights is in Denver. Estes Park is roughly a 2/2.5 hour drive from DIA. Please check out the Estes Park Shuttle if you are not planning on getting a rental car.

Travel Note

RMNP WildLife

Rocky Mountain National Park (and Estes Park) is home to many animals, including Ground Squirrels, Owls, Deer, Civets, Elk, Moose, Mountain Lions and Black Bears. Please be "Bear Aware" on this trip. Do not leave food in cars, windows should remain shut when you are not in your car and room. Dispose of trash in the proper receptacles. Remember to stay away from these animals and use the zoom on your camera to get closer pictures.

Wifi and Cell Phone Service

At YMCA, WiFi is provided in each of the cabins and lodges. Internet upgrades are available for a fee if additional bandwidth beyond basic WiFi is needed, please request upon arrival. Cell phone service varies by carrier, cell service can be limited depending on your location on property. Please note you are in a mountain area and cell service can be limited throughout the Estes Park area.

Travel Note

Altitude Sickness

The YMCA of the Rockies is located above 8,000 ft. Higher altitudes can cause headaches and shortness of breath. In order to reduce these symptoms drink plenty of water and limit physical activity for the first 24 hours. If you experience these symptoms, try this: drink half a bottle of Gatorade, then fill the bottle with water back to the top and continue drinking the mixture.

YMCA of the Rockies is following protocol consistent with Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment guidelines. At this time shopping in downtown Estes Park is open with limited capacity inside of stores. Restaurants are open for limited in-restaurant dining pursuant with Colorado State guidelines.
