A must see for visitors of Estes Park. Enjoy a scenic drive, leisurely nature walk, or a more adventurous hike into the wilderness. RMNP is home to a variety of animals. You may see ground squirrels, raccoons, owls, hawks, eagles, deer, elk and an occasional moose. Bears and Mountain Lions also live in RMNP. If hiking a trail be alert for animals and quickly changing weather patterns. Reserve your entry in advance at link below. RMNP does not take "walk-ups."
On-Site fishing is available at Dorsey Lake, located at the entrance of the YMCA. Fishing at Dorsey Lake is catch and release only. Reserve at least half a day for this scenic drive that covers 48 miles from Estes Park to Grand Lake. Trail Ridge Road is one of ten America's Byways in Colorado and a national designated All American Road. This drive is through RMNP.
