There is no shortage of Dunkin Donuts, but while you are here in our backyard we'd love to share our go-to spots. Hannah's Cafe was our first favorite spot in town, their iced coffee and breakfast sandwiches never disapoint. Kaffmandu is another small but quintisential cafe in downtown Danvers with amazing coffee choices and baked pasteries. Bagel World is no frills and best to-go but has what we swear are the best bagels north of NYC.
< 10 minute drive from Peabody, MA Salem is a historic town with plenty of opportunities to explore. We recommend visiting some of the many historic sights including the Salem Witch Museum, the House of the Seven Gables, or the Salem Witch Memorial. If Halloween in June is not your speed, try visiting some of our favorite shops or a bite to eat along Washington Street and Derby Street. (The Derby and Notch Brewing are both favorites of ours for snacks and drinks)
30 minute drive from Peabody, MA Newburyport is one of our favorite cities to visit on a day trip. It is a great costal city with everything from beaches to small shops and fun candy stores. State Street and Water Street are both great places to start. Waterfront Park runs is right along Water Street and and is great for walking or sitting and taking in the ocean.
45 minute car ride from Peabody MA, or 35 minute train ride from the nearby Beverly or Salem T stations (to North Station). North Station is close to Boston Public Market, the Historic Freedom Trail and the North End Harborwalk. A moderate walk or short uber ride further is the New England Aquarium or Children's Museum of Science (which can be fun for adults too!).
90 minute drive from Peabody, MA If you are realllllly up for an adventure to see the groom's home state, Portland, Freeport, and other great cities in southern costal Maine are a great place to visit. Numerous lighthouses, breweries, beaches, and costal shops to stop into, as well as the famous L.L.Bean boot and great outlet shopping a little further north in Freeport, Maine.
