Julia's first home and a short ferry ride from Anacortes. Make ferry reservations in advance at https://www.wsdot.com/ferries/schedule/scheduledetailbyroute.aspx?route=ana-sj Friday Harbor's charming town is walkable from the ferry dock, but you'll want to have a car or bicycles for Lopez!

Just an adorable town on the water. Lots of shops and restaurants to choose from!

The Old Edison
A dive bar with delicious food and oysters. Steak night and live music on Fridays. Live music and dancing Saturday and Sunday. This is the bar where Travis and Julia met!

Diamond in the rough one street town. Go to Tweets for breakfast or brunch but make sure to bring cash! There is an ATM in the Old Edison across the street if you forget! The Breadfarm has the best home-baked goods in the valley! There is also a lovely little art gallery and a few artisanal shops here!
