Michael and Kara met on Facebook Dating in January of 2020. Michael had almost given up on dating and had accepted being single for the rest of his life but then decided to give it one last shot. Their first date was supposed to be on Valentine's Day 2020 however Kara decided that a Luke Combs concert took precedence (because come on, it's Luke Combs) leaving Michael to spend yet another Valentine's Day alone. They met up the next day and spent the day together at the Arboretum and had lunch at Drakes during a UK basketball game. It was a great idea since Michael doesn't do well with crowds *insert sarcastic smirk here.* The weekend ended with a kiss and a hopeful promise to see each other again. Fast forward two weeks, and they officially decided to become a couple on March 1st just as the pandemic hit and the world went into lockdown. They made the most of it despite being robbed of a traditional dating life. But on January 10th 2021, their lives would change forever. Michael surprised Kara at her door on a Sunday afternoon and took her to Palmer's Seafood Grill, the place where they had their first official date. Outside of Palmer's, Michael pretended to text Kara a photo but instead it was a surprise video slideshow playing Better Together by Luke Combs, the country artist Kara ditched Michael for the previous year. Michael got down on one knee and said 4 words he never thought he'd say in his life. Kara and Michael have been growing and thriving ever since and they cannot wait to start this journey together called life.
