Marie's Cottage

Located on the same property of the venue. The cottage was built in 1916, and is furnished in the character of traditional Cape Cod with some charming antiques from that era. The cottage was part of an artist's colony until the 1930's, and the property has lots of interesting history. There are 3 bedrooms (one with a fireplace), 1 bathroom, a living room with a fireplace, a sunny dining room, and a recently renovated kitchen. Two additional people can sleep in the separate guest cabin. Outside there is a lawn and 2 brick terraces facing south and west, with views of horse pastures, forest, trails, and the pond at sunset.

1.61 Miles from Venue. Our home has recently been renovated and is on Buttermilk Bay in the village of Buzzards Bay. It's a quiet place to retreat to and relax, a fun place to bring kids to splash around in the bay behind the house and bring kayaks out (one can rent kayaks in town). Also we are a short walk from the Lyman Reserve walking trails. We are minutes away from the Cape Cod Canal, where you can walk/run/bike the 7 miles of canal road which ends at Scusset Beach. Nearby is the town of Onset where you can take a scenic canal cruise. Our house is waterfront but on a protected marsh. Therefore, we ask our renters to access the beach by the nearby paved road (a 2 minute walk). We kindly ask for a 7-night minimum (Sat-Sat) for the months of June, July, August & September. The other 8 months of the year there is a 2 night minimum plus a cleaning fee of $175.
