We first saw each other coaching at a Newton wrestling practice. Mike asked one of the coaches (Coach Cuff) who I was. According to Mike, he replied, “That’s Hanna. She’s a firecracker. She’s the type of girl that would punch a guy at a bar,” and after that he was intrigued.

Met: We first officially met in Atlantic City, NJ, during the state wrestling tournament at Wild West through a mutual friend. First Date: Mike was very persistent yet patient, and I eventually agreed to go on a first date with him at the Brick and Brew Restaurant. As he dropped me off at my apartment, he tried to give me a kiss on the cheek, but the brim of his hat got me before the kiss did.

Mike proposed where we met in Atlantic City, NJ, after a wrestling tournament on the beach while I was obviously in sweatpants and a T-shirt and had just moments before spilled cheese all over myself. We had Brooks with us (who had just turned 6 months old the same day), so it was a special moment for all of us as a family.
