It all started when I asked Travis to be my date for our girls ask boys dance known as "Twirp." I liked getting to know Travis as a friend from our time spent together on our high school alpine ski team and our church youth group. A few days after our date to the twirp dance after going to the movies, Travis asked me to be his girlfriend officially and if I would be his date to his Junior Prom. Following prom, our first kiss happened after our adventurous trip out to Presque Isle in the winter. A few months later, I told him that I loved him. Our biggest obstacle came when he went to college. Even though we had a relationship over a long distance, it was no challenge as we talked on the phone every day. This past year, we moved in together, and we wouldn't want it any other way. He asked me to marry him on December 19th after I had finished my shift from the swimming pool. He told me to come into our office, and when I opened the door, I noticed a room full of rose petals and candles lit. He was smiling ear to ear and took me by my hands leading me to have a seat on the floor. He told me how much our relationship had meant to him and popped the question. Tears formed in my eyes, and I said yes! We are so excited to become husband and wife.
