This story began in the spring of 2020. Allow me to set the scene: Madeline, was in the thick of her quarantine Tiktok crafting and Grey's Anatomy binge when Griffin "slid into her DMs." After seeing her on Tinder, and anxiously awaiting their match, Griffin became impatient and decided to send Madeline the corniest pickup line she had ever read. Clearly, it worked. The two traded small talk for the first few days and before they knew it, they were texting nonstop. However, with it being the height of the pandemic, date planning was a challenge since everything was closed or required social distancing. The pair had to get creative with their first few dates, which included watching a pre-downloaded version of The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia (long story, but its a classic; 10/10 would recommend), driving to Washington D.C. and doing a bit of sightseeing, and unfortunately for Madeline, lots of more outdoor activities. After that summer, the two decided to stick it out and do long distance...which lasted all of six days. If you know Griffin, you know he spent practically every weekend making the drive to Harrisonburg to visit Madeline at JMU, and if you don't know Griffin, then you probably assumed he was a student at JMU because he was there almost every single weekend. Harrisonburg is where they truly fell in love and where they really learned more about one another. Go, Dukes! <3 After Madeline graduated, the two of them took a vacation to Grand Cayman, a place she had been looking forward to showing Griffin for years. Grand Cayman holds a special place in her heart, and it's evidently becoming a Tweedy family tradition to get engaged on the beach (or in our case, on the balcony...twenty minutes after arriving). Ben and Luke, take notes. When they (meaning Madeline) aren't planning their wedding, Griffin and Madeline enjoy spending time in their new home, watching sports or reality TV, or spending time with friends and family. They both cannot wait to have all of their friends and family together in one place to celebrate!
