If you have never been to Seattle, this is a great tourist spot that we both enjoy. Lots of flowers, produce, and food stands to walk through. We recommend showing up right when it opens (usually around 10am) to avoid the cruise ship crowds and get a coffee and pastry while you browse the market. As for the food stands here, you really can't go wrong! Just pick a food you are in the mood for and find the stand that fits those wishes. Everything is delicious. There are some super fun food tours you can sign up for that take you through the market too. P.S., if you happen to be in the mood for a beer while at Pike Place, definitely stop at Old Stove Brewing for a beer and beautiful view.
This is the weekly market in our neighborhood and we frequent it as much as we can. It is a must do if you are staying in the area. It opens at 9am every Sunday and again, we recommend getting there right when it opens to avoid crowds. Similarly to Pike Place, the flowers, baked goods, and food stands here are all delicious. Some of our favorite stands are Salmonberry Goods, Dear Table Farm, Bangalore Kitchen, and The French Guys.
The Seattle Center is home to the infamous Space Needle which is always fun to see while you're visiting. There are also lots of fun museums and activities to do at the center. Visiting the Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum, going to MoPOP, and the Pacific Science Center are all fun things to do while in this area.
