This is a cocktail bar and sour beer brewery. We went here on our first date. Check our home page for the story :) needless to say we had a blast!
The North Market is one of our favorite spots for a weekend lunch. The market has your typical market staples like a florist, butcher, coffee shop, and grocer, but we really come for the restaurant stalls. Gretchen recommends Hoyo's Kitchen for Somali bowls and Max loves getting a treat at any of the bakery booths.
Gemut is one of our favorite breweries. We love spending time with our friends drinking German beer in Gemut's beautiful biergarten. Max says go for the dunkel and Gretchen says go for the raspberry kuhler. Gemut is on Oak Street, where Gretchen lived before meeting Max!
The German Village Farmers Market is a Saturday morning staple. We walk to the market and pick up bread, flowers, local produce, treats, and more. The market is open 9am - 1pm on Saturdays.
Budd Dairy is a fun food hall with some of our favorite restaurants. Max loves the gumbo at Modern Southern Table (as seen on the Food Network!) and Gretchen gets a lobster roll at Cousins Maine Lobster or tacos al pastor at Tacos Rudos. Make sure to take a lap to see all the different rooms and levels in this historic building. Don't miss the rooftop bar!
