We're excited to share our favorite places local to Monterey with you. There is so much to see!

Where David and I lived when we met and started dating (Big Sur Lodge to be exact). Lots of hiking and BEAUTIFUL scenery. A must see when in the area, especially the famous sights like Bixby Bridge and the several state parks along Hwy 1.

We highly recommend the aquarium for both adults and kids!

Monterey Bay Aquarium

Asilomar State Beach

Beautiful drive with several stops to get out of the car for pictures and walking.

17 Mile Drive

Point Lobos State Natural Reserve

Very nice and charming area. Expensive, but fun to walk around and they have a nice public beach.

Carmel-by-the-Sea

The BEST coffee shop in Pacific Grove that I (Greta) spent a lot of time at during the time I lived there. The coffee shop is at the front of a quaint bookstore, which is fun to peruse.

Best Thai Food in Pacific Grove/Monterey area.

Pacific Thai Cuisine

Located 45 mins north of Monterey near Santa Cruz. Capitola is a VERY cute beach town with shops to browse and tasty restaurants. Highly recommend grabbing a slice from PizzaMyHeart and eating by the beach.
