Once Upon a Time, Life Gave us a Fairytale

In 2013, Schyler started at Roanoke College. During his time there, he became president of the Nerf Wars Club. In 2015, Samantha began her education at Roanoke. Seeing that she needed a study break, Samantha's friend dragged her out of her dorm to Bast Gym for a game of Nerf Wars. Samantha and Schyler became fast friends and remained friends throughout college. After both of them had graduated and gone their separate ways (Samantha to Florida to be with her family and begin work, Schyler to New Orleans to study in law school), Schyler returned home to Florida for spring break. Realizing they were in the same state and just a few hours apart, they decided to meet up and hang out like old times. On that day (March 24th, 2019), what started as a friendship grew into something more. Fast forward 5 years (April 19th, 2024): Samantha and Schyler returned to Roanoke College for Samantha's 5th reunion, during which Schyler proposed.
