Please note you must have a national park pass or pay $30 entry fee per vehicle. If visiting for sunrise, a timed entry reservation is required between 3am and 7am. It is quite cold and windy at high elevation. An appropriate jacket is recommended. Most people go to see the sunrise above the clouds; however, the sunset is equally as breathtaking, with a bonus of having a completely clear sky to see the stars start to appear.
