Greg and Matt have been good friends since the mid to late 90’s. They became quick friends over their mutual love for the Kansas City Chiefs and video games. Their bond remains strong.

This is Colin, he met Greg in high school and they have been good friends ever since. He is a pipe fitter by profession and refuses to cut his hair.
Mitch Briggs
Groomsman
Greg and Mitch have been buddies since high school. They lived together for awhile when Kara and Greg first began dating. They bonded over a mutual respect for the outdoors and their love of attempting to catch catfish and only ending up reeling in turtles.
Chad Renner
Groomsman
Greg met Chad in college and were quickly great friends. They rapidly formed their bond due to their mutual respect for the cut-off T-shirt and love for drinking cheap beer.
Alex Gilkeson

Alex is another friend from college. He currently lives over seas (Mexico) and always makes time for Kara and Greg when he’s north of the border. He goes by Gilky and will more then likely cause a scene.
Matthew McLain

Matt is Kara’s little brother who followed her out to San Diego and never left. He will be the one greeting you at the wedding with a cold beverage and most likely a “Sup Bro”
Brittany McLain
Maid of Honor
Britt is Kara’s Maid of Honor & sister who is 20 months older. The two have been given the nickname “McLain Train” when they get together, and boy have they earned it!
Kaitlynn Schlitzer
Matron of Honor
Kait is Kara’s Matron of Honor. They have known each other since high school, but became inseparable in college where they drank enough cheap vodka to drown a clydesdale. They are often mistaken as sisters, and sometimes even fight like them.

Monica & Kara quickly became best friends when they both moved to KC in 4th grade. They did everything together and to this day Kara still knows her parent’s garage code (she used to invite herself over regularly). Hilary Ceman

Kara met Hilary when they lived on the same floor in the dorms Freshman year at KU. They were roommates through college and frequented a country bar in Lawrence called “The Ranch.” They got into many shenanigans together throughout college, and still do when they get together!
Ann Pasterczyk

Kara met Ann when she moved to San Diego shortly after graduating from KU. The two met through work, and when they weren’t working they went on many trips and adventures around San Diego. They quickly became “polish partners in crime” and Kara would frequently surf Ann’s couch in Pacific Beach.
Vanessa Hinkle

Kara & Vanessa met through work and were roommates in San Diego. Their condo never had a dull moment! Their favorite happy hour location was the dog park and on the weekends you could find them wandering around local dive bars. This mate now resides in England!

Kara has known Jen since middle school, and they have countless memories from middle school, high school and college. When they aren’t attending charity galas, you can be sure to find them attempting a new workout trend or just in the backyard with a glass of wine.
Jessica Crider

Kara has known Jessica since middle school where they bonded through club volleyball and soccer. Back in the day, they were masters at manipulating the carpool driver to go though Dairy Queen or Starbucks. Jessica has a happy-go-lucky attitude and is always down for a good margarita!
Amy Brettmann

Kara met Amy though Brittany in college at KU. Amy is always down to go out on the town! The two share an obsession with the Casey Donahew band, Kanza Hall (R.I.P.), and vodka sodas with lime.
