Kara and Greg first met playing sand volleyball through mutual friends. One night Kara was needing an experienced substitute to fill in for one of her other teams. Greg immediately saw this as an opportunity to get to know Kara and promptly volunteered. After they where done with the match Greg invited Kara to stay late with him and watch the Jayhawks basketball game that was in its closing stages. Kara obliged and Greg took the initiative to ask Kara for her phone number. The two have been practically inseparable ever since!
