This is the center of beach life in Negril. If you're staying at Rockhouse, ask the front desk to help coordinate transport to Skylark Hotel where you can relax and take advantage of a little beach front R&R.
Contact Rockhouse front desk staff to help organize a glass bottom boat excursion in Negril. After being picked up at the deck below the hotel restaurant, take a boat ride to the reef about 3 miles from Rockhouse. Vincent, the captain, will join you in the water pointing out items of particular interest and feeding the fish.
If you're looking for adventure a little further afield -- head to Pelican Bar! This is one of the best known spots in Jamaica. You can book a catamaran cruise and lunch at the restaurant through Island Routes: https://www.islandroutes.com. On the website, search for Pelican Bar cruise either from Negril or South Coast, Jamaica. You can also make arrangements through your hotel directly.
You can't be in Jamaica without having some rum (if you're of age, of course!) Appleton is the leading rum estate in Jamaica. Take some time to go on a tour and get a tasting of their rums. Don't forget to bring us a bottle when you get back!
If you're the adventurous type, or the type that likes to watch other people take risks, you can't miss a trip to Rick's Cafe to jump off the cliffs. Located at the top of a 35-foot high cliff on the far west end of Jamaica, it boasts some of the best, uninterrupted, sunsets in the world! Get there before 4:00 pm if you want to watch the sunset (and the cliff divers). Don't forget your bathing suit if you're planning on being the adventurous type!
Blue Hole is about 6 miles from Negril. Take the 25-ft jump into the water-filled cave (or just climb in) plus all can enjoy their large pool filled with the natural spring-water. You can also book spa services, take a horseback ride, or go for a hike on the premises. Outside food is allowed so grab your favorite treats to carry with you on the way.
