You'll want to fly into Aeroporto Internacional do Recife/Guararapes – Gilberto Freyre, Recife's International Airport (code: REC). Many major airlines fly to Brazil, including: American, United, Delta, LATAM, GOL, Azul, Copa, and more. We also recommend getting travel health insurance for your trip. The shortest direct route to Recife is from Orlando or Fort Lauderdale via Azul Airlines. Most flight routes coming from the US will likely stop in São Paulo first, then connect over to Recife (a 3-hour flight). The Grand Mercure has renovated and non-renovated rooms. Greg and I have stayed in all types of renovated rooms (deluxe, executive and suite) and have always enjoyed it. Other recommended hotels nearby: Atlante Plaza, Transamérica Prestige Beach Class, Mar Hotel AirBnbs are also readily available in Recife and often cheaper than hotels. We recommend staying near Boa Viagem Beach, in the Boa Viagem neighborhood. The long avenue has beautiful ocean-front views and is close to main restaurants, shops, malls, and the hotels mentioned above (where the shuttle will be leaving from for each event).

Getting Around

Transportation to and from all 3 wedding events will be provided from the Radisson and Grand Mercure and back at specific times that will be shared later on. Ubers and cabs are widely available and very cheap. We strongly advise against renting cars/driving yourselves.
