Yes, we are providing shuttles on Monday, August 16 only. The shuttle will be ours to use as needed...just tell the driver where you are staying. We ask that our guests do not drink and drive- we love you! NOTE: All guests must take the shuttle; Island Farm is a private estate and does not allow guests to park on the property.
Because of the pandemic we had to make the difficult decision to keep the size of our wedding intimate. We are sorry but no plus-ones are included unless indicated on your invitation.
We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding festivities to be your time off! Please book a babysitter and let down your hair with no distractions.
Please note that all events except for the wedding dinner & dancing are outdoors. Sunday- Casual (Layers for warmth & comfortable shoes too.) Monday- Men please wear suits and ladies have fun dressing up! Comfortable shoes (wedges or block heels) are recommended as the land at Island Farms is uneven. It may get chilly in the shade of the Redwood Trees so a wrap or lightweight jacket is also suggested. Tuesday- We suggest men wear a button down, and women wear dressy-casual... think sundresses, jumpsuits, etc.
We would love our guests to be fully present during the wedding ceremony and ask guests to respectfully turn phones and cameras off, to allow our photographer to capture the moment. Feel free to hashtag #sharalandschmittywedding
Per the CDC guidelines: All of our wedding festivities are outdoors in open spaces. The welcome dinner is outdoors at a driving range. The wedding ceremony is outdoors on a private estate. The only time guests will be in a small, enclosed space is on the shuttle to and from the wedding ceremony. Temperatures will be taken before boarding the shuttles and riders will be masked. (Extra masks and hand sanitizers will be provided at the shuttle departure points.) The CDC does not require attendees to wear a mask in outdoor spaces. We respect all of our guests who opt to wear their masks outdoors, as well as those who opt not to wear a mask outdoors. All of our vendors' staff will be wearing masks. Vaccinations are not mandated by the CDC. We are aware that a few of our guests will not be vaccinated. We are expecting 30 guests, which aligns with local and state ordinances and our venue’s capacity restrictions.
