Once upon a time, in March of 2015, Greg was looking for a PA. His friend Will told him about this girl he knew. Greg hired her. When Shanna met a young, handsome, blue-eyed man in an office lobby, she thought she had the wrong place. She got “lost in his eyes” (direct quote from archived text messages a few months after the fact), she made him actually eat dinner during the show, and he hired her for the next one. After a couple months of trivia nights, Game of Thrones debates, and Star Wars references, Shanna had a conversation with Greg about taking a metaphorical step back so they could concentrate on their friendship. Instead, he kissed her on the sidewalk of 1st Ave. They then agreed that being just friends was stupid and they should just be together. Fast forward several years, to August 2018, and they are living together in Washington Heights with two cats, and they have a small argument about when and how they will be getting engaged. Greg says "It could be three days, it could be three years." Three days later, he has orchestrated a night at the local Irish bar, with some surprise guests from out of town. In front of her sister, grandmother, aunt, and almost an entire bar of friends, he convinced her to sing a song together, but got down on one knee before it can end. While Shanna still does not know how she didn't see the signs, the only response that anyone needed was "Duh!"
