Our relationship has hardly been conventional right from the start. So I guess it's only fitting that we couldn't have things go right for our conventional wedding, either. When a pandemic hits, you really start to think about what's important, and for us, it was being together. After 9 years of knowing each other, 5 years of dating, and 2 years of being engaged, we didn't want to wait any longer to make it official. Visiting national parks together is one of our favorite things to do, so we headed out to Wyoming and got married in the shadow of the Teton Mountains at Grand Teton National Park and followed it up with more exploring all the way up to Yellowstone. We took the lemons life handed us and made some really good (huckleberry) lemonade.
We did struggle with the decision to not share such a momentous occasion with all of our friends and families. So to compromise, we're doing it all again! On June 19, we will renew our vows and give our marriage the celebration it deserves with everyone we love. We look forward to sharing those moments with all of you!
