Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Greg Lorrain and Miriam Goldstein
There are SO many beautiful places to see and fun things to do here in the summer! Here are just a few highlights....
Suttons Bay Beach

Suttons Bay Beach

416 Front Street, Suttons Bay, MI 49682

A fun, family-friendly beach in a beautiful location with picnic sites, a playground, and recreational opportunities. By calling ahead to make a reservation, you can rent kayaks or paddleboards from Suttons Bay Bikes and have them delivered to the beach (or pick them up yourself).

Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore

Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore

Maple City, MI 49664

A must-see if you're spending any extra time in the area, Sleeping Bear Dunes are located about 40 minutes west of Traverse City along the Lake Michigan shoreline. This "profoundly beautiful landscape" consists of 35 miles of rolling dunes that tower 450 feet above Lake Michigan. "Good Morning America" even named it the Most Beautiful Place in America a few years back!

Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail

Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail

10781 East Cherry Bend Road, Traverse City, MI 49684

In addition to Ciccone Vineyard, the Leelanau Peninsula is home to 23 other award-winning wineries! You can take a self-guided tour or arrange one with a local tourism company (e.g., Traverse City Tours, Wonderland Tours & Transportation).

Old Mission Peninsula Wine Trail

Old Mission Peninsula Wine Trail

15900 Rue De Vin, Traverse City, MI 49686

Just on the other side of the Traverse Bay is the Old Mission Peninsula, which is also home to "ten wineries that are as distinct and full of character as the wines they serve."

Suttons Bay Ciders

Suttons Bay Ciders

10530 East Hilltop Road, Suttons Bay, MI 49682

This gorgeous, unique cidery + tasting room is next door to Ciccone Vineyard (our wedding venue). It's where we'll be hosting the welcome event on Friday evening, but if you can't make it to that we recommend checking it out on your own time!

Microbreweries

Microbreweries

Traverse City, MI 49684

Not just major wine country, Traverse City also has a well earned reputation as a "hotbed of craft brewing" for its abundance of microbreweries, brewpubs, and taprooms.

Shopping

Shopping

303 E State St., Traverse City, MI 49686

Downtown Traverse City is an especially fun place to shop (or stroll and window-shop), with its Victorian-style storefronts, brick sidewalks, and over 150 independent stores, boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and coffee shops.
