Greg and Katie Rose met the very first day of Greg's freshman year at Haverford College in 2015. The college mistakenly assigned Katie, a sophomore, to a suite in first-year housing. She noticed a tall, handsome runner-boy walking in with what had to be 6 boxes of ASICS running shoes in-hand. Later that day while eating lunch on Founder's Green, Greg noticed a beautiful runner-girl striding across the lawn towards him. He thought he must be dreaming when she went right up to him, introduced herself, and mentioned they'd be living in the same building. The two became good friends and teammates on the Cross Country and Track and Field team for the next few years before dating in 2017. Their favorite activities at school included cooking and playing goofy games with roommates, taking walks on the nature trail, and spending all day on Sunday at the Dining Center for a continuous supply of coffee and cookies. Greg and Katie both cherished their time at Haverford College. Greg majored in Computer Science and Katie majored in Biology and Neuroscience. They were dedicated athletes and hold several All-American titles and school records. They are grateful for their many shared interests and passions that brought them together and the lifelong friends they met during this time.

After graduating, they moved to Philadelphia where they have lived for the last 5 years. In that time, they have had many adventures including visiting Katie's extended family and sheep in Ireland, enjoying coffee and camping in California, and frequent weekend trips to the Jersey shore. Greg now works as a software engineer and Katie is a genetic counselor at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. They recently expanded their family to include their puppy, Finnegan, who is equal parts fluffy and feisty. Greg proposed to Katie on September 12, 2023 while they were on vacation in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Greg thought of everything and had arranged a picnic and a photographer, while Finn took the opportunity to get as sandy as possible. They are so excited to start this new chapter together surrounded by their closest friends and family.
