Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Look out for a formal invitation in early July and our RSVP page will open at that time. Please submit your response no later than August, 2024. You will want to book your room by this date as well, to secure our special wedding room rates. While RSVPs aren't due until August, if at this time you know you'll need to celebrate us from afar, please feel free to shoot us a note letting us know.

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

Black Tie optional. We can't wait to see our guests dressed to impress! Guys should wear a tuxedo or a dark-colored suit with a tie. Ladies an evening gown or a midi/tea length dress. It may get chilly at night (the ceremony and cocktail hour are outside) so you might also want to bring a jacket or a wrap.

Are kids welcome?

As much as we love your little ones, we have decided our ceremony and reception will be adults-only events. We hope you'll be able to make this trip a parents' getaway! If unable to leave the kiddos at home let us know and we can help provide recommendations for babysitting services in the area.

Am I required to stay at one of the hotel room blocks?

Answer

You are absolutely welcome to find accommodations other than the hotel room blocks. There are lots of great inns, resorts, and rental homes within the Lake George area. We recommend staying within a 15-30 minute walk to Lake George as we will be hosting the welcome party and after party in town. Another consideration when looking at accommodations is the shuttles to and from the wedding venue will be doing pickup and drop off from the 3 hotel room block locations so you will want to make sure you can easily get to one of these locations.

When should I plan to arrive in Lake George?

Answer

The room block rate will be available from Friday, October 18 through Sunday, October 20. We recommend aiming to arrive by at least Friday afternoon to take advantage of peak leaf peeping time. If you plan on coming earlier than Friday, there are a number of amazing activities to do in the area, check out our Things to Do page for more information! Greg + Alexa will be arriving on Thursday morning and staying through Monday. We would love to spend more time with our guests who want to enjoy some extra time by the lake.

What is the weather like in October?

Answer

October brings fall in full swing to Lake George with cooler temperatures and colorful foliage. With an average high of 58°F (15°C) and a low of 40°F (5°C), it generally feels moderately chilly, humid but cool. There might also be a small chance of rain.
