Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Rachel Gilmore and Cole Greer
Welcome to Nashville! Between the wedding festivities, we hope you get a chance to explore the city we love. Here is a curated list of our favorite spots to eat, drink, and explore in Music City.

Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum

222 Rep. John Lewis Way South, Nashville, TN 37203

Often called the "Smithsonian of country music," this museum sits right downtown and holds a massive collection of music history. It’s worth a visit just to see the incredible collection of vintage stage costumes, historic instruments, and even Elvis's gold-plated Cadillac.

Centennial Park

2500 West End Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203

One of our favorite places to walk the dogs, and home to the famous Nashville Parthenon.

Nashville Farmers' Market

900 Rosa L Parks Boulevard, Nashville, TN 37208

The massive indoor Market House features a global food hall with lots of shops and food vendors. Outside, you can browse the covered farm sheds filled with local makers, baked goods, and fresh produce, or walk through the garden center.

El Fuego Restaurant

3917 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216

This vibrant East Nashville Mexican restaurant is one of our most frequent haunts in Nashville. We highly recommend it for its delicious food, relaxed atmosphere, scratch-made margaritas, and huge outdoor seating area.

Marsh House

401 11th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37203

A favorite spot of ours from our early dating days, Marsh House is a great spot for yummy Southern fare and seafood. Tucked inside the Thompson Hotel in the Gulch, it features an amazing oyster happy hour, a gorgeous dining room, and an incredible weekend brunch. Pro tip: Head upstairs to their rooftop bar, L.A. Jackson, for some of the best skyline views, drinks, and late-night vibes in the city!

M.L.Rose Neighborhood Pub

431 11th Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37203

M.L.Rose is famous for its yummy craft burgers, crispy waffle fries, and expansive local beer list. Great spot to watch a game or unwind after a day of exploring, and offer several different locations around the city.

Butchertown Hall

1416 4th Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37208

Butchertown Hall pairs Texas-style live-fire barbecue with excellent Tex-Mex. The patio is fantastic on a nice day, and do NOT skip the queso here!

The Optimist

1400 Adams Street, Nashville, TN 37208

This Germantown restaurant serves up oysters, wood-fired fish, and delicious cocktails in a historic brick warehouse. Be sure to head upstairs to Le Loup, their cozy, moody cocktail lounge, to grab a drink in the spot where we officially became a couple!

Attaboy

8 Mcferrin Avenue, Nashville, TN 37206

This East Nashville cocktail speakeasy has no menu. Guests knock on an unmarked door, and once inside, the bartenders ask what flavors or spirits you like, and craft a custom drink just for you.

Urban Cowboy Bar

40 The Arcade, Nashville, TN 37219

Tucked into downtown's historic 1902 Arcade Building, Urban Cowboy Bar offers a vintage saloon vibe downstairs, Roberta's Pizza slices, an upscale cocktail lounge upstairs, and a moody, candlelit hidden mezcal bar. We took our engagement photos here!

Monday Night Brewing - Preservation Co.

1308 Adams Street, Nashville, TN 37208

Located in Germantown along the Cumberland River, this taproom is built inside a beautifully restored, historic industrial meat-packing plant. The original brewery in Atlanta was a favorite of Rachel's in her college days, and we visited the Nashville location on one of our first dates (and many times since!).

Tall Tales Rooftop Bar

811 Main Street, Nashville, TN 37206

Perched atop Waymore’s Guest House in East Nashville, Tall Tales is a gorgeous plant-lined rooftop with fantastic views of the downtown skyline. Excellent spot for a specialty cocktail and light bites.

Up-Down

927 Woodland Street, Nashville, TN 37206

Located in East Nashville, Up-Down is a nostalgic, high-energy arcade bar packed with over 60 vintage arcade games, pinball, skee-ball, and life-size Jenga. Note: Up-Down is 21+.
