COVID-19: What about vaccination and testing?

Answer

In light of the COVID-19 Delta variant, we are requesting guests get tested for COVID-19 prior to our event. If you are able to, please get vaccinated before attending our event. Please keep in mind we do have immunocompromised guests in attendance. If you are feeling sick, have become exposed to COVID-19 before the event or are uncomfortable with the above requests, please refrain from attending! You will be missed, but we must put the safety of our friends and family first.

COVID-19: How many guests will be in attendance?

Answer

We are currently expecting between 130-140 guests. We intend to be in full compliance with any state or nation wide restrictions at the time of our event and will communicate any changes as soon as possible.

COVID-19: How will changes be communicated before the day?

Answer

Rest assured we will keep you in the loop regarding any important changes with updates to this website, so please keep a close eye as we approach October. In the unfortunate event that we have to reduce the guest count or postpone our special day, we will also reach out to all guests individually.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

Please RSVP by Friday, September 6th at the latest. We would especially appreciate it if you could could RSVP earlier if you are not able to attend! You are free to RSVP by mail or via our website.

What should I wear?

Answer

We ask that everyone comes dressed in cocktail attire. Please keep in mind that the ceremony is fully outdoors and reception is both outdoors and inside in early October - so you may want to bring an extra layer for warmth. No need to worry about heals in grass, as the venue is paved.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We are planning to have a device free ceremony, so please refrain from taking pictures during this portion of the wedding. You are free to take and post pictures of the cocktail hour and reception afterwards! We would love it if you used #greeroneillwedding to tag your posts.

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids, but we want our wedding to be your night off. Adults only please!

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception with be at the Delaware Center for Horticulture, please refer to the schedule page or your invitation for more information.

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, the venue is in full ADA compliance. Please reach out to us if you have any specific access needs or questions!

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outside in the pavilion, weather permitting. The reception will have some guests and all dancing outside under a tent in the courtyard, with some guests inside in the adjacent Founders room for the seated meal portion of the reception.

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

We will start the evening with a cocktail hour, which includes a full bar and non-alcohol options. Afterwards we are providing a platted sit-down dinner and dessert afterwards. Please refer to your invitation for more information on the food choices available!

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

We have already incorporated a variety of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options into the menu. Please indicate in your RSVP or reach out directly to us if you have any specific diet restrictions.

Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?

Answer

We are not currently planning to provide a shuttle between the hotel and ceremony / reception. The Delaware Center for Horticulture is a brief 5 minute uber ride from the Sheraton Suites Hotel.

Where can I find information for hotels and travel?

Answer

Please check our travel & accommodations tab. You are free to reserve as soon as you'd like, but we ask that you reserve by Friday, August 6th at the latest!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to do venue capacity and budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Where are you registered?

Answer

Your presence is enough, but if you feel so inclined we've registered at Target and Crate & Barrel, please refer to the registry tab for more information. Thank you!
