We first met our freshman year of college. We became fast friends, which eventually evolved into becoming best friends. Over the years, through undergraduate, work, internships, and law school one constant was the best friend we'd found in each other. We kept in constant contact, acting as constant support for each other through good and bad. In January 2018, we finally admitted to each other that we wanted to be more than just friends and started dating on January 23rd. The future plans changed a bit after a job offer from Colorado and a move was imminent. We were finally reunited and settled in Colorado in May 2019 and started building our lives together then. We were lucky enough to buy a house and adopt a dog, Jimmy, within a few months in the Summer of 2023. On October 31, 2024, David planned a perfect Halloween day full of walks with Jimmy, food, flash tattoos, scary movies, and cookie decorating. Little did I know that he had planned this perfect day, which of course did not go to plan, that culminated in the perfect proposal in our home. Now we are asking those closest to us to join us in celebrating not only the love we have for each other, but the friendship that led to it.
