Cassity Leachman

Maid of Honor

Amanda and I met in the Syracuse University Marching Band in 2016 - my first year in college, Amanda’s last. During band camp, I saw a tattoo of the world on Amanda’s shoulder and instantly wanted to be her friend. Throughout the band season, Amanda became a constant supply of positivity and light to my life, always inviting me to events, always ensuring I had someone to walk me home at night, always ensuring I was happy and adjusting well to college life. Many months later, Amanda became my big sister in our joint fraternity/sorority - in other words, Amanda was officially deemed my best friend. Since the official “knighting”, Amanda and I have kept in constant communication via rants about boy problems (mine), rants about teaching problems (Amanda’s), and cat snaps.

Stephen Mitchell

Best Man

My brother (2/3), Steve, has taken care for me for longer than I can remember! Apparently I was good baby practice before he got to three of his own. Not only was he an amazing caretaker, but the best entertainer and friend as I got older. My favorite memories growing up were attending crazy video game parties, sleepovers at his apartments, and even the occasional visit to Denny's late at night to discuss the growing complexities of life when I reached high school. Steve makes time for anyone important to him, and that is what earns him a superhero status in my eyes.

Kamm Lemay

Man of Honor

Hi! My name is Kamm, it's like "Cameron" with out the "rin" at the end. I've been excited for Amanda's wedding since the ring. Amanda and I met in our freshman year at Syracuse University, where we lived on the same floor. We broke the ice with a shared interest in music and a similar music style and then grew the friendship with late night calzones filled with crazy toppings, many episodes of Supernatural, and our love of fun. From that point on we laughed, joked, and kept each other company.Amanda has always been great to lend me her ear when I needed it. Over the next few years we had many lunches, dinners, and drinks together, as well as concerts, shows, and parties. I'm happy this new chapter of her life is starting and am super excited to be a part of it!

Jared Greenbacker

Groomsman

Jared is going to be a fun brother-in-law. He's be perfect to chill out with, or if I'm feeling extra sociable, a good guy to party with! When I first got to know him, he was definitely enjoying college life, so getting to actually see him was a treat. But, now I have the "little" brother I always wanted! I'm proud to see how much he's grown in the past few years, and can't wait to see how many adventures we go on.

Katharine Henderson

Bridesmaid

Hi friends! I'm Katie. I met Amanda officially on the very first day of college during Syracuse's band camp. Even though we were friends from the time we met, our friendship became the weird thing that it is when we went to France together. After five months of silliness and adventures, we came back knowing that we'd be lifelong friends. Several years later, I still love this woman so much. Even though I'm finishing up my master's degree in New Mexico and she's kicking butt in her teaching job, I am so excited to stand by her side while she says I do to the love of her life. Here's to Amanda and Scott!

Gregory Mitchell

Groomsman

My oldest brother (1/3) is the most mysterious by design, because he is old enough to be my father! 20 years apart, it was not ideal an situation in getting close with an older sibling. Although it took a while, sometimes things just develop the way they're meant to be, and we're as tight as sibling should be. Greg knows how to have a good time, and yet he is the one of the best to come to for advice, with his wealth of experience. I could listen to him talk about his incredible daughters for a long time, because he is a wonderful family-oriented man. I still won't forget about him helping me explore new things, from fixing Cathy's headlight to a spontaneous trip to the theme park so I could get over the fear of roller coasters.

Lindsay Murphy

Bridesmaid

"This one time at band camp..." Amanda and I were introduced, clicked instantly, and have been friends ever since. From shots before Syracuse home games to late-night porch sitting, this girl has been with me through thick and thin.

Matthew Sampere

Groomsman

This is the closest friend I have by far. Matt's resume' as a friend includes two rock bands, two corresponding albums, getting me through a tough breakup with my first girlfriend, concerts attended, concerts performed, and so much more. There's nobody else I've collaborated more with than him, and those experiences are going to help me with any future musical endeavors. He taught me that an important friendship can include all the differences of opinion imaginable, so long as you have each others' back through it all.

Felicia Woodward

Bridesmaid

Amanda and I met our first year at Charlotte Valley. It was my third year of teaching, Amanda’s first! We met at our first meeting and, much to her dismay, we haven’t stopped talking or being friends since! We’ve laughed uncontrollably, we’ve cried, and we’ve helped each other through A LOT over the past year and 2 months! I’m honored and happy to have met Amanda! She’s the definition of what a Best Friend is supposed to be. Even our students have noticed our bond, so much so that they continuously ask if we are sisters! I am BEYOND excited for Amanda and Scott to get married. It was so hard to keep my mouth shut about it when the ring was being made. I’m so glad that she found a diamond in the rough! I cannot wait to rock this wedding out with her and be by her side for every moment!

Kevin Mitchell

Groomsman

I greatly value growing up with Kevin, being the closest family member by age (brother 3/3). All those memories sharing the same room with that bunk-bed, all the different card and board games we tried out together, and beating every single Halo campaign together. Every holiday season was with him and our parents no matter what, up until we moved out. I couldn't have had my childhood without him, and wouldn't change a single thing about him, or how we grew up!
