The First Date

Wanna have coffee?

Who would have thought that a casual Saturday morning first date over coffee at Loveland Coffee, would have turned into this? We met up at 9am and lost track of time (apparently there was a latte to talk about)!

The Proposal

Just a quick errand

It was one week before Kimberly's annual Friendsgiving party. She was in full blown prep mode along with facing a heavy work week ahead. Sunday, November 14th was her friend Meredith's birthday and the group texts were blowing up with plans to check out a fun restaurant to celebrate her! Kimberly was trying to finish up some prep so she did not notice anything funny going on. Smart move on Matt’s part. The day goes on and when Matt returns from "watching the Bill’s game" he says, "Hey, are you going to paint your nails for tonight?". This should have been Kimberly's first clue - what a dummy. And before heading out Matt says, "I need to run by Loveland coffee first to pick up something from Beach for my small group tomorrow night. He is roasting some beans and said I could come by and grab it from him". This seemed like odd timing to Kimberly, but maybe she could score a cup of coffee before dinner! Who doesn't love some good Loveland Coffee? On the way Kimberly is trying to use the air vents to dry her nails before dinner, frustrated that she even tried painting them in the first place. She asked Matt what they were even picking up, his explanation was too good and too detailed… This should have been her second clue. They arrive to Loveland by going the back way in - also, another clue Kimberly didn’t pick up on, she is so trusting… Matt opens the door for her and she walks into a room filled with music, lights strung everywhere, and decorations all over. You see, Loveland is where they had their first date. And at the very table where they met, flowers and candles set up and ready. Kimberly says out loud, “Something is happening.” Matt pulls her to the table and gets down on one knee and asks her to marry him. And obviously she said yes. Afterwards friends and family joined them in celebrating. It was definitely a night to remember.

For all the days along the way
