Flight
This is the closest Airport to us and we are more than happy to come pick you up! Just let us know what date and time you are coming in advance!
Flight
Flying into Milan is sometimes cheaper. If you choose this option, the easiest way to get to us is the Train (TrenItalia). The trip is about 2.5 by train. If you travel into Vicenza, we would be more than happy to come pick you up!
Train
We use TrenItalia all the time to go to bigger cities. I highly recommend using this if you plan to visit any other cities while in Italy!
Hotel
Here is the website we use to book our travel. It tends to be the cheapest option!
Hotel
For the travelers on a budget, we use hostels frequently as well as they tend to be the same as hotels here. You can generally book a private room at a fraction of the cost of a hotel.
Travel Note
While most credit cards are accepted here, Amex generally is not. Make sure to call your bank and let them know you are coming or it might get declined anyway. Italians tend to prefer cash as well, so having some Euro on hand is never a bad idea!
Travel Note
Most US carriers have plans that allow you to use your phone while abroad (usually $10-$15 per day). Iphone users can use Wifi pretty easily to send imessages and facetime other iphones for free. However, if you can't survive without your phone, wifi hotspot plans are also an option that tend to be cheaper than paying per day. Depending how long you want to visit Italy, Vodafone offers monthly plans for around $25 a month to have data and texting. You will just have to use an Italian phone number while you are here. We use apps like Whatsapp to call back to the states even with Italian numbers.
Travel Note
You can be within the EU as a US Citizen for up to 90 consecutive days without a visa!
