Although Tinder is not known for its serious relationships, Grayson and Paige were determined to find love that was real and genuine. After a few days of messaging, Grayson asked Paige if he could take her to Wausau, WI (where he had been living the last two years) for their first date. As Grayson pulled into her driveway, Paige darted out to his car, with her hand pulling her hood tightly down over her face, as she tried to keep her hair out of the rain. Hopping into his car, they glanced nervously over at each other for the first time. The drive to Wausau consisted of shy conversation, but by the time they reached Day's Bowl-A-Dome, where Grayson tried to help Paige keep her bowling ball out of the gutters, they were exchanging blushing smiles and peals of laughter. During dinner at Texas Roadhouse, Grayson inquired about Paige's faith; little did she know, God was using Grayson to bring her into a relationship with Him that she had never known before. As they got back into his car, Grayson's hand hesitated at the ignition switch; neither one was ready to say goodnight just yet. Grayson took Paige to see the apartment he had almost finished moving out of (he had found a job closer to home). Sitting on a faded floral-print couch in an empty living room, they talked late into the night. While the world outside was growing dark, they brought light into each others' lives as they learned about one another's pasts, mistakes, heartbreaks, and hopes for the future. They were no longer strangers- they were becoming best friends. Grayson took Paige to see his new place in Medford. While watching an action movie, they had grown so comfortable with each other that they had accidentally fallen asleep! Before they knew it, they were waking up to the sound of her phone buzzing as it received concerned texts and calls from her parents. Grayson rushed Paige home- but not without reassuring her that he could not wait to see her again. And he did. Thanks be to God.
