This 65-mile road trip along Hana Highway passes dozens of waterfalls, lush beaches, tropical forests, a lava cave, and stunning scenic spots. Haleakalā: Dormant volcano and a national park on Maui. Beautiful spot to watch the sunrise (need reservation) or sunset (no reservation needed). Kealia Ponds National Wildlife Refuge: See native birds and wetland ecosystems.
Ahihi Kinau: Protected marine reserve near Kihei. We recommend snorkeling in the morning before the wind picks up. Molokini Crater: Take a boat trip for excellent underwater visibility and diverse marine life. Kaanapali: Great for snorkeling - very calm water.
