2025 Wedding of the year

Grayson's first memory of Frannie begins at Rob Gunderson's birthday party at the Endless Summer restaurant. The small harbor along the California coastline had been a favorite spot for both Frannie and Grayson after graduating from UCSB (Frannie now harbors a deep-seated disappointment in its replacement, Anchor Rose). When he accepted the invite, he had no idea he would be working up the guts that night to try and talk to his future wife. Showing up single, Grayson thought there might be some cute girls out and couldn't believe his luck when one caught his eye. Was it the demeanor of an emo high schooler that drew him to her? Yes, yes, it was. The fear was apparent as he approached her table. The sweat and thoughts of what might be cool to say were immediately interrupted by blankness and a red face when he reached her table. He had been waiting all night for an opening, and now he had ruined it. After a few sassy Frannie remarks, the conversation was flowing. Grayson had saved himself. Leaving the restaurant, everyone looked as if they were heading home. Hoping to get more facetime with Frannie, Grayson made a feeble attempt to get everyone to continue the night. Frannie was the only one who mentioned she “could be down.” Having no other takers, the crew decided to call it a night. He wanted her phone number, but was it too soon? Did she feel the connection, too, or was it just him? He would have to create another excuse to meet the girl in black. It must have been fate because, almost a year later, Dani, Gray, and Rob's pickleball game was a player short. They needed a ringer, Frannie. There she was, dressed in her finest Lululemon, leaping across the court, smashing the ball, and easily taking a win home, with her best friend Kelli backing her up. Grayson didn't know it, but he was in love. That day would begin a series of volleyball invites, lunches at East Beach Tacos and hangouts where Frannie assured Gray they would "just be friends." Little did she know, Grayson did not intend to be just friends; they would become best friends and lifelong partners.
