High School Grant and Mariah met through a mutual friend and started to get to know each other. At this point Mariah had just moved to town and Grant had grown up here most his life. We had a few classes in high school together which brought us closer but in June of 2017, we started dating. College After high school, our paths aligned and brought us both to The University of North Dakota for the next four years where we enjoyed many hockey games and met some wonderful friends. Florida After Grand Forks, North Dakota, Grant was offered the opportunity to move to Florida for his job. We decided it would be a fun adventure to go on together and we both decided to move down to Vero Beach, Florida for a year. Shortly after Grant finished his hours needed to apply to an airline and we were able to move back to Minnesota. Engagement Grant proposed during his family's annual Leech Lake vacation, making the moment even more meaningful by secretly having Mariah's family camping nearby to surprise her. It was the perfect start to our next chapter.
