Traci Ober came into Grant's life when he was just shy of 2 years old. Traci instantly fell in love with Grant and later; Traci became his step-mother and helped support Grant's dad, Michael, in raising him. Although as Grant got older and rejected his step-mom, she was still there! It took awhile before Grant began to appreciate his step-mom in all the things she has done for him, and will continue to do for him. Not a single thing in this world could Grant find to replace his step-mom, (Mainly because she's not up for sale!), but because nothing in the world can compare his love for her.

Cpl. Michael Royce Taylor. May 2nd, 1971 to September 29th, 2011. Micheal is the biggest role model to Grant. Of all people, Grant cherishes his dad. Not to belittle anyone, but Micheal was a big influence to Grant. Through out his life Grant remembers his dad the most. To this day Grant does anything he can to honor his dad, whether it be earning the rank of Eagle in Boy Scouts of America, to becoming a United States Marine. Grant wanted to know what his father went through as a way of still being closest to him. May God bless your soul and give you strength while guarding the gates of Heaven. -Semper Fi-

Grant and Jason have known each other since they were fetus'. Grant's dad Michael and Jason's dad Chad were great friends as well. Although, Grant and Jason didn't get along when they were younger, they soon became great friends just like their fathers. Favorable moments are when Grant cut Jason's arm with a rock that he thought was dull, (Why yes, yes it was). To this day Jason still bares the mark of that cursed rock, but one day repays the favor, in metals class. During their senior year of high school, Grant and Jason were working at an anvil when Jason hammered onto a piece of metal that broke off and hit Grant in the eye. Grant wasn't wearing eye protection but was luck enough not to lose an eye. to this day Grant has a scar on his face from that day.

Sean is the middle child of the big three: Grant, Sean, and Callie. Upon Sean's birth, Grant did not accept him as a brother, due to Grant being a jealous boy. Though through his childish schemes, Grant loves his little brother. Just like his big brother, Grant, Sean wishes to follow along the same path. Well not exactly, Sean wishes to join the United States Navy instead of the glorious United States Marines. Grant may give Sean some crap for it, but he supports him regardless.

Allison does not like to be called Keith, You have been warned!! Allison checked into the command shortly a month after Grant had checked in. After some time working togeather and getting to know one another, Grant had accepted Allison as a friend. Allison is a friend you can depend on and off duty, and Grant would be the same for Allison. Sometimes Allison does some stupid things, but Grant still cherishes him. Grant does his best to support Allison in any matter possible.

Cpl. Christian Maldonado is Grant's mentor at work. Though on is first few days at the work center, him and Christian did not get along. Grant was determined to set aside their differences in order to eliminate a hostile work environment and to build unit cohesion. Through time Christian was promoted to Corporal and appointed as Grant's mentor. Grant eagerly agreed and through a mentor-mentee relationship took roles that would help serve him for the rest of his career.

Sgt. Joshua Ovando is one of Grant's Supervisors with in his Work Center. Sgt. Ovando has aided Grant through his career with motivation, wisdom, support, and discipline. Grant Idols Sgt. Ovando and hopes to fit in his "boots" and become a great leader.

Callie is the youngest of the big three. Callie envy's her big brother Sean, and Grant looks up to Sean for that. Grant was not always there for his sister, but he loves her regardless and knows that she loves him too. Grant enjoys to play games with his sister when he can and whenever he is home to visit. In-fact, Callie can be a little spitfire whenever Grant wins in a game, but she is a sweet, pretty young girl and anyone will fall in love with her. Heave warning though! Do not take her kindness as weakness! You have been warned!
