Drake Viola

Best Man

Meet Drake, the slightly uglier Viola son. Drake was the work of hundreds of nights of constant prayers from 12 year-old Grant wishing for a younger brother. Well, 18 years ago, his wish came true, and they've been inseparable best friends ever since. They say that you can always count on family, well you can especially always count on Drake. If Grant ever needed anything, or just a person to talk to or vent to, Drake would be there in a heartbeat. Currently pursuing a business major at Miami University in Ohio, Drake finds solace in weightlifting (perhaps compensating for his height), taking frigid plunges in the local creek, and charming the women of Ohio Ever since he was a child, Drake was always the star of the family and is constantly making everybody laugh and lifting up others around him. And Ladies....he's single.

Anthony Corrado

Groomsman

Anthony Corrado, the world-renowned TikTok sensation, is recognized for his characters like Maddie, Genesis, and more. What many may not know is that Anthony used to compel Grant to stay at his house, serving as his personal videographer slave. Grant would constantly film videos that garnered an average of 5-50 views on YouTube. Even today, Anthony fails to give Grant any credit for their first-ever viral video on Facebook. This unconventional career path turned out to be a success for Anthony when he opted to forgo college and dedicate all his efforts to content creation. It paid off handsomely, as he found himself making $12 an hour waiting tables in Lombard. Just a brief two years later, Anthony transformed into a viral sensation with fans nationwide who appreciate his comedic videos, enabling TikTok to become his full-time career. He lives with his amazing girlfriend, Ashley who is also his producer and director. Grant and Anthony began as friends at Hadley Jr. High, but they hit a rough patch, likely because their similar personalities prevented either from admitting when the other was wrong. Two years later, they reconnected at Glenbard West High School and have been best friends ever since. Through thick and thin, Anthony has consistently had Grant's back and will continue to do so.

Eric Pedigo

Groomsman

Eric Pedigo and Grant started their friendship in a very unconventional way. They shared a class at Hadley Jr. High, where Eric was famous for his baggy pants that were so wide he would have to rubber band the bottom of them. Eric found his classmate Grant extremely annoying, causing a distaste for one another. Two years later, Eric, Anthony, and Grant all shared a math class at Glenbard West High School, creating a best friend trio that will last a lifetime. They hung out every day after school and could be found playing frisbee or hackie sack at Churchill Woods or working on a school project (they were always project partners). Grant, Eric, and Anthony were notorious at Glenbard West for their humor, specifically in their American Studies Class. Although their favorite teacher, Mr. Wiersum, loved them, the other teacher for the class despised them. Their tomfoolery got so out of hand that this teacher forced Eric to sign a contract that stated if he acted out again, he would get kicked out of the class for good. Grant remembers his time with Eric as constantly filled with laughter and adventure. Eric was living in the suburbs of Chicago but now resides in Florida with his girlfriend Jorune after some slight convincing from Grant and Mary. The next step is to get them both to move to St. Pete!

Rob Schoeneich

Groomsman

Rob Schoeneich (Show-Nick) is one of Grant's more intelligent friends. They met at Glenbard West High School, where Anthony and Eric introduced them to Rob. He was always known for his skill on the soccer field and his inability to speak negatively off the field. For as long as Grant can remember, Rob has dreamed of becoming a doctor. Perhaps it was his experience being treated for his deathly allergic reaction to pomegranates or his willingness to help others. Or maybe his personal time spent with an EMT unit and his D.A.R.E officer in Glen Ellyn. Rob currently lives in Iowa City with his fantastic girlfriend Rachel. They are both in the residency stage of their post-medical school journey and became doctors after graduating from medical school in Chicago together. Rob solidified his friendship with Mary when he drove seven hours from Chicago to Ohio University to visit them for the famous Number's Fest in Athens, Ohio. Although they all had the time of their lives, Rob was slightly haunted during this trip and tells tales of ghouls following him home. Although Grant and Rob didn't meet until sophomore year of high school and live in completely different states, their friendship bond will never be broken, and their love for golf will always keep them traveling on golf trips.

Jack Hennessy

Groomsman

Jack Hennessy and Grant met a bit later on as Jack was friends with Anthony and Anthony was friends with Grant. Jack and Anthony we're notorious at Glenbard West for their success in the theater program as well as making funny skit videos. Jack and Grant immediately hit it off as friends when Jack pulled up to a bonfire on a vespa still in his work uniform from waiting tables at the local country club. As soon as Grant saw that, he knew he would be getting a lifetimes worth of laughs. Fast forward 10 years, and Jack still has Grant peeled over in laughter. If you see him, ask him about how he got us all kicked out of Coco Bongo in Cancun and then ended up at a Mexican casino for the rest of the night. Jack currently lives with Lauren, his absolute better half who is a labor and delivery nurse. Not sure how Jack pulled this one, but Grant and Mary are very happy he did as they used to have a standing monthly date night in Chicago sharing tons of laughs and great food.

Spencer Refer

Groomsman

Spencer is technically Grant's oldest friend actually. As Grant and Spencer found out later in life, their moms used to have walking days where they would each bring their baby boys for a walk together around Lake Ellyn. Grant will never forget his first memory with Spencer, as they were in the same Glen Ellyn baseball program together. Some say sheer luck, others say Spencer was a science experiment, but for whatever reason, Spencer hit puberty at a very young age. So while Grant and the rest of the gang looked like true 12-year-olds, Spencer came into this league the size of Barry Bonds in his prime. After baseball, Spencer's dad took them to his house and showed them what a bottle rocket was. Ever since that day, Spencer and Grant have remained great friends, including golf trips to Arizona or a drive out to South Haven for a beach weekend. There has never been a shortage of amazing memories, dating back to when they were babies.

Perry Zumbrook

Groomsman

Perry Zumbrook may be the most wholesome man in Glen Ellyn, an absolute prodigy. Perry and Grant met at Hadley Jr. High school and realized that they actually lived right down the street from each other. This led to middle school double dates, walks downtown, and shredding longboards all around their hometown. Perry was the glue that held the friend group together, always the first one to text everybody to get together. Even if it was just going to Churchill Woods to toss the football around, he'd always be down to hang. Once they got to high school, Grant and Perry both decided to join the Glenbard West Men's Gymnastics team. Although Grant was notorious for aggravating their head coach by learning parkour and breakdancing with his Vietnamese friends instead of working on his routine, Perry was the star pupil. Perry went to state and ended up winning for vault and rings, leaving his name engraved forever on one of the plaques at the school.

John Hartigan

Groomsman

John and Grant have a funny relationship, as they were always meant to be friends but never actually made it happen until later on in high school and college. Everyone you see above you was friends with each other in different capacities, and John was friends with everyone the same way Grant was, but they were the last two to seal the deal. As fate would have it, John and Grant far exceeded the skill level in golf compared to the rest of the friend group (especially Jack). This created a beautifully competitive relationship that led to countless tee times between them and a friendship that will last forever. John and Grant's lives were forever changed when Chris Cagadas (John's Brother-in-Law) invited them to play golf at his country club. You should have seen the look on their faces pulling up to a pristine club, free drinks (that Chris paid for), and buttery soft fairways and greens. From then on, Grant and John couldn't go back to public golf and instead would be yearning for the life that Chris had shown them. Like Grant, John is the type of friend who is always down for any adventure with the group. If someone has an idea for a golf trip, John will book his flights 30 minutes later. So, it's safe to say that if it weren't for John and Grant's friendship, this entire friend group would crumble and never have gone on any trips together. Also, ladies, did I mention that he is single?
