Angler's Covey
It's no secret that we love fishing as do our families. Stop by our favorite fly shop that also offers a spin-fishing storefront. If you don't know what you're doing, this is the place we would send you for a guided trip! If you know what you're doing, grab a Purple Amy's Ant or Yellow and Red Panther Martin and get on some trout!
Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
Check out the mountain giraffes and so much more! This zoo is a must see in Colorado Springs and does require a lot of uphill walking. Named #4 best Zoo in the United States we have to recommend this stop!
Broadmoor
The Broadmoor is a legendary destination resort in Colorado with picturesque mountain views. Pro tip: you don't have to stay at the Broadmoor Hotel to walk around the grounds! We recommend parking in the Parking Garage near the Broadmoor Hall and walking across to the Broadmoor Main hotel. From there, take the elevators upstairs to see more of the beautiful historic hotel, walk across Cheyenne Lake to Broadmoor West and grab a coffee, or "build your own" s'more kit from Natural Epicurean. Perfect for the outdoor fire pits!
The Broadmoor Seven Falls
Seven Falls is a magnificent series of waterfalls located in a 1,250-foot-walled box canyon between the towering Pillars of Hercules. Wear comfortable shoes and expect a lot of stairs and walking! An elevator is available to view a portion of the falls.
Pikes Peak
Drive to the top, take a shuttle, or the cog railroad. Please ensure that if you choose to visit Pikes Peak while you're visiting Colorado Springs you take into account the altitude and have been in Colorado Springs at least 48 hours before attempting to summit! Expect cold winter like temperatures with wind at the summit. Don't forget a jacket!

One of the most popular attractions in Colorado Springs, please ensure you do your research before planning a visit to ensure you can access the Academy! There are often restrictions on visiting the academy without military ID.

Red Rocks Canyon Open Space is 789 acres of open space providing unique hiking trails and views of Colorado Springs. Most hiking in space is easy to moderate and great for a quick early morning or late evening hike. Keep in mind, Colorado in August offers extremely variable weather so come prepared with water, snacks, and rain jackets!
