Rocky Mountain National Park

Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP), borders the town of Grand Lake to the north and east. The park offers an abundance of activities like wildlife viewing, hiking trails, campsites, historic landmarks, cultural programs and much more. A timed-entry permit is required to enter the park to you must reserve this by the night before.

Winter Park is about 40 a minute drive from Grand Lake. They have a scenic summer gondola ride with epic views! Fun Fact: Both Grant and Dallas spent different winter seasons working here. Dallas rode the gondola or ski lift up to work, no matter what was weather was like; it was -15F seen in the picture above! Tickets are $29 if purchased in advance, $39 if purchased day of, and $21 if purchased in packs of 8 at least 48 hours in advance.
