I found April on Instagram through a random friend suggestion, and was immediately impressed and thought she was really hot. Obviously. You’ve all met her, just look at her. How could I not be. I “played it cool” and held off contacting her while I schemed up a good excuse to reach out. I had just purchased a house that needed a major renovation, and honestly had no idea where to begin. April’s IG bio stated she was a Realtor, and Interior Designer, so voila. I had my perfect ruse. I shared my situation and told her I was in need of some interior design help, and eagerly awaited an enthusiastic response thanking me for the opportunity and suggesting a time to meet up…..That did not come. Instead, she squashed my exuberance and sent me an email address for her colleague who is in fact a professional interior designer……NOT what I expected. Not willing to give up so easily, I responded and told her how bummed I was because I actually just wanted an excuse to ask her on a date, and I was asking. She politely declined, didn’t say much back and I was very worried that was the last time I’d ever get a reply. Months went on, I continued playing it cool and only sent about 150 reactions to her IG posts over that time, just making sure she knew I was still there and watched every single thing she posted. During that time, I became more and more impressed with her drive, the business she’d built, and it was apparent to me how fun and self-confident she was (in addition to being gorgeous) so needless to say I was still very interested...Still nothing. Our family went on vacation in spring 2023 to Belize, where we came across this cool yoga place on a covered pier out in the ocean. I decided to go with Abby and Lauren, and posted a couple pictures of the yoga pier on IG, and to my absolute surprise that was what earned me a response and comment from April. Finally! For all of you who know April you know she is not easy to impress, but she later told me she’d looked at all my pictures before and was mildly intrigued. We both love to travel (thought I was cute) but figured I must be a jerk and wasn’t that interested. But the yoga, I guess got her attention. We kept chatting and set a date when I got back from my trip. April 14, 2023 - The date finally came at a Starbucks in Greensboro. I will never forget the first time I met this woman. She showed up….late (from picking up her new cute blue handgun), like she’d been lit on fire with an energy and enthusiasm I have never been able to match. I could barely pay attention or participate in the conversation. I couldn’t stop smiling and she lit a fire in me I wasn't ready for. Looking hot as hell in her white Lulu jacket and yoga pants, exuding this Force that continues to stop me in my tracks and admire her to this day. I was smitten. The date went really well, I was smiling like an idiot the whole time and couldn’t help telling her how cool I thought she was and how sad I was that she was leaving for her trip to Europe right after we met. I threw out the idea we could meet the next day before she left, but didn’t hold out a lot of hope. Lucky for me, Brittany and April have a tradition of having a “going away party” with their friends before leaving for vacation, and I got a tipsy late night call from April. Before I knew it she was making brunch reservations for us the next morning at Print Works Bistro. Score! April 15th - A day burned in my memory. We laughed and were more comfortable with each other and everything felt right. I was so sad she was leaving, but I was on top of the world I'd met this woman and it felt perfect. I grabbed her and kissed her while we said goodbye and before I let her out of my sight to go on her trip. I wasn't going to miss out on her. No way. April has changed my life in every way. She has a fire and force that is undeniable and keeps me hooked on her like a drug. I’ve never met a more impressive, strong, and attractive woman. She is my person.
