Yampa Valley River
There are a multitude of walking paths, bike trails, and fly fishing spots along the Yampa River. Downtown there are conveniently located rental bike and fishing shops.
Steamboat Springs Gondola Ride
Experience Steamboat Springs with a scenic ride to the top of the mountain. Enjoy a drink as you soak in the autumn beauty from on top of the world. Then descend again seeing the view from a different angle.
Horseback Rides
Book a horseback ride in the scenic Yampa Valley for 1 or 2 hours at Saddleback Ranch (approx. 30 min away from Steamboat Base).
Western Shops in Steamboat
There are several fun shops and boutiques in Steamboat Springs. If you would like to browse western wear, we recommend the local shop, F M Light & Sons. They have hats, boots, attire, and accessories in all price ranges!
Easy/ Moderate Hike: Fish Creek Falls
Just minutes from downtown Steamboat, wilderness comes to life with a splash at the legendary falls, easily accessible for the entire family. A short 1/4-mile walk down a gravel path is a pristine view of the lower falls, while a moderate hike with picturesque views will take the more adventurous to Upper Fish Creek Falls and Long Lake, deep in the Routt National Forest. * $5 vehicle day use fee - cash or check
Challenging Hike: Gilpin Lake
Gilpin Lake is one of Kelsey and Alex's favorite hikes in Colorado! Roughly 1 hour north of Steamboat Springs, this challenging hike will take about 5 hours over 9 miles and 2,000 ft of elevation gain. The blue lake, aspen groves, and mountain views are worth it!
Mountain Biking
For any adrenaline rush seekers, there are plenty of beginner mountain biking trials on Steamboat mountain! Rentals include a bike, full-face helmet, knee/shin pads, and gloves.

Play a round of golf, just a 5 minute drive from Steamboat base!
