(Non-Reception) Things to Do

If you are planning on staying for longer or have some time to kill, here are some of our favorite places in the area. Most of these will require a car, taxi, or Uber ride.

New Canaan Nature Center

144 Oenoke Ridge, New Canaan, CT 06840
, (203) 966-9577

This is immediately across the street from the Roger Sherman Inn.

Stamford Museum & Nature Center

39 Scofieldtown Road, Stamford, CT 06903
, (203) 977-6521

This is a great way to spend the day with kids! Primarily outdoors and they can interact with some cute farm animals.

Waveny Park

677 South Avenue, New Canaan, CT 06840
, (203) 594-3100

A great park for running, nature walks, and games.

The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk

10 North Water Street, Norwalk, CT 06854
, (203) 852-0700

If it's rainy and you want an indoor activity with kids, the Maritime Center is the most fun. Spend some time at the shark tank!

Knot Norm’s

10 1st Street, Norwalk, CT 06855

This is a great little place in our new neighborhood serving things like fish tacos and lobster rolls.

Overton's Seafood

80 Seaview Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06855

A very casual spot in East Norwalk serving fried seafood, ice cream, burgers, and hot dogs.

Spacecat Brewing Company

57 Chestnut Street, Norwalk, CT 06854
, (203) 857-1074

Local brewery that also has kombucha on tap. They usually have great food trucks parked out front.

For all the days along the way
