Question

what if the pandemic is still going on?

Answer

we're getting married no matter what! if it's just our families then poo! we'll miss you but we are still getting married!

Question

Can we REALLY talk about safety and Covid 19?

Answer

Yes! absolutely! We realized there was no where to state this, but we want you all to know this is a SMALL wedding, 52 including us. it's our 14 immediate family members (parents, siblings, 6 nieces and nephews), and then each of us invited about 10 friends and their spouses. Graham's beautiful sister is the officiant and we each have two for the bridal party. That's it, only our VIPs. To date, 15 of the guests have been fully vaccinated, and we anticipate 6 more guests by the end of this month, and then hopefully the vaccine will be available to adults in April and May. Hopefully the catering staff, photographer, wedding planner and DJ will have the vaccine offered to them soon, but they will be wearing masks the entire time, regardless of vaccine. The ENTIRE wedding and dinner is outside and only the dancing and bathrooms are inside.

Question

is it safe?

Answer

probably! it's completely outdoors except maybe the dancing. it's a private estate so no outsiders. Julia will personally disinfect the entire inside with stuff from her office and fog all the rooms. majority of guests will be fully vaccinated as all the parents will be by then, and many of the guests are doctors, essential workers, etc. all service people will be properly masked, and honestly, they're pros!

Question

what if i'm not comfy going?

Answer

we get it! you have to decide what you're comfortable with and what's best for you!

Question

are my kids allowed to come to the wedding?

Answer

unfortunately no. this is a private estate so the number of young guests needs to be very limited to family, and infants. children are still welcome to come for the whole weekend as the Carmel Valley area is a fantastic family vacation spot! Maybe see if any grandparents can tag along and babysit just on that Saturday night?

Question

what's going on with the rehearsal dinner?

Answer

who knows?! right now because of the pandemic, reservations cannot be made anywhere, let alone the fact that there are very limited options in Big Sur. right now the plan is to just have a very casual family dinner right after the rehearsal. Another idea is to have it at the state park, but we also are unable to make reservations for that too. Who is invited? right now it will be the bare minimum, which is the immediate family and bridal party.
