After many months of marriage and ring talk, I told Graham that I'd love to be surprised with the proposal, but understood if he couldn’t (since I am me). Well, joke’s on me because on that fateful Saturday, after hanging up the phone with Graham who told me all about his day "at work", I headed to my sister's "birthday dinner"...and basically blacked out when I saw him standing in the corner of that restaurant. Graham says watching me try to compute how he magically transported from South TX to Brooklyn in the moment was totally worth it. The rest, as they say, is history :)
