Will there be a wedding? Is this the wedding?

Answer

No, we've chosen to elope at a later date. You can think of this as an elevated engagement party/pre-wedding reception. This is our one big celebration, so we really hope you can make it!

What is the dress code?

Answer

Formal (tie not required). Think suit jackets and slacks, and long dresses (cocktail or gowns are all acceptable). Ladies, consider a shawl or light jacket in case it's a little chilly after sunset!

Is there a registry?

Answer

We do not have a gift registry. We've decided to keep our event to adults only, so everyone can fully relax and enjoy the evening with us. We hope you'll take this as a chance for a special date night!

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

We're so excited to celebrate surrounded by close friends and family. While we'd love to have everyone, in an effort to keep our evening intimate and adhere to space limitations, we will not be having plus ones. Your invite will specify everyone in your party. However, anyone is welcome to join us at the afterparty (location TBD)!

Where should I stay?

Answer

We don't have any hotel blocks but there are several hotel options right around The Rackhouse. If you're making a weekend out of this trip, we suggest staying near your other planned activities, but here are some recommendations: If staying near The Colony, we recommend the Hilton Dallas/Plano Granite Park. It shares a "boardwalk"" with some great restaurants and bars (we love Union Bear Brewery and Flamant). For walkability to even more shops and restaurants, the Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West, Cambria Hotel Frisco, or Dallas/Plano Marriott at Legacy Town Center will put you right along the main drag of the Legacy Shops. Other options to be closest to our venue and near Grandscape (lots to eat and do) is Hampton Inn & Suites Dallas-The Colony and Homewood Suites by Hilton Dallas-The Colony. If staying in Dallas proper, the Canopy by Hilton Dallas Uptown puts you in West Village, the most walkable part of Uptown Dallas which is where we'd recommend you stay. You'll have access to food, shopping, and the Katy Trail, and the Canopy has a rooftop bar with great views of the Dallas skyline. **NOTE: If you're coming from Dallas, give yourself ample time to get to the engagement party since Dallas traffic is no joke!!
